Worked the abs (goal is every other day, switching up the workouts to shock the muscles) again and it went real well.  sometimes the pain of ab work is agonizing and alot of the time its fine (still painful, uncomfortable, but manageable).  Feel nice and sore this morning, so I know I did something right!!  followed up with a run!

Mixed up with the fact that 2 of my good friends werre ther as well, makes for a fun swim. its hard to swim (properly) and laugh as much as we did. funniest part of the night was when Shawn decided he was going to practice flip turns and Drew and I were chatting away at the shallow end of the pool and here comes Shawn in all his glory, goes for the turn and misses the wall completely, yet tries to keep his composure as he turns for another…seeming to be swimming, but making no forward progress. Drew and I were laughing so hard, and the best part…Shawn comes up for a breath in mid stroke and yells, “NO laughing” and continues on! I love it!!!

Again, reminsicing, life is good…friends are good!!

this was only 55 minutes, but it was pure joy, glory and utter enjoyment!! i have really learned to tackle and love the trainer (you gota go with a fluid trainer so its nice and quiet). didn’t even watch any TV this time around…YOUTUBE videos and good music videos were all I needed. i love sweating, especially when I know that when I get done on the bike…i get to pack up my stuff and head to the local pool with 2 buddies and swim my little heart out!

Life is good, my mind is free, body feels great!

We have 4 of us buddies who have decided to tackle the swimming season this year real hard.  I am the “least seasoned” of the group when it comes to putting in the time and yardage of swimming.  All of them were doing half Irons last season too, so I don’t feel so bad…the nice thing is they aren’t afraid to push me to catch up to where they are at…thats friendship and commrodary, and these guys are my best friends!

so I took advantage of it and did my own little triathlon.

1)  Stength work and cardio

2) Speedwork on the bicycle trainer

3)  4+ mile run outside in the cold.

This was an awesome day!!!  I feel so good after working so hard this week in my training!  My body has been ver receptive and the smile on my face when I’m done is proof that moving more everyday is a good thing.
