A little bit windy, but nothing unmanagable. planned a 4 mile run but when I got to the turn point realized I need to see where I was at with 6.2 at least. So I covered alot of ground and enjoyed almost every step. The only steps I didn;t enjoy is when I was crossing the road and a car turned in front of me without a care. good thing I care enough to know my surroundings at all times while running around my city. teenagers…gotta love them, they mean well…most of the time.

I was happy with my time, did some speedwork, and cranked it up a bit from mile 4.5 to 6. I’m ready for my race (lat one of the season) and I want to do well. Time to go buckle down and enjoy a movie on a cruddy day!

Good work! Even better that you enjoy and feel good about it, it’s the best part!
Yeah, road warriors like us really has to look out for ourselves, between bikes, drivers on cell phones, we got to fend for oursleves out there.
You are right about tapering, antsy is the name of the game, just have to ride it out… I guess. :)

    Happy running!

Isn’t it awesome to run on a beautiful day. That is why I go to the bay now (night or day) to run. The mornings are sunny and cool, and the nights have beautiful sunsets and the breeze is nice.

Thanks for the comment and encouragement. :-)

I’m not competetive against people, but against myself I am. I always feel I need to measure up to what everyone else is doing. That is my mind taking over. But my body keep saying….”hhheeeeyyyy we just started this thing (running) 6 months ago. We can’t be right up there with the people that have been doing this for years” LOL. I’ve realized that. So I’m taking it easy. Getting my knee to heal. Once it is I’ll start with maybe 3 or 4 mile runs during the week.

Thanks again and keep up the good work! ;-)
